As I mentioned in the past post, we were expecting some nasty weather for a couple of days, so we planned to stay at Ocean Club Marina for two days. On the second day, we stayed put on the boat to wait for the storms to pass. As we were waiting, a boat came in on the fuel dock to tie up and wait it out too. I went out to help pull them in and there were some unfortunate boat-driving mistakes. Sometimes you watch the show… sometimes you’re the show… fortunately, we got them tied up safely.
Also, since we were on the fuel dock, we were able to top off the fuel in our slip before the storms came. And then the storms came… boy, did they ever.

The storms were strong, but didn’t last very long. By late afternoon they had cleared out and Wendy and I decided to walk to the pier to watch all five cruise ships leave. It was a bit cold and very windy, but we stuck it out to watch them all leave.

One of the ships that we waved to ended up running aground in the Dominican Republic later that week. Ope. Sometimes you’re the show…
We stopped for dinner at Gator’s Dockside for dinner on the way home where an older couple was having their wedding reception in the bar. The meal was mediocre, but at least the service was equally mediocre.
