We left St. James Marina on Friday afternoon and headed up the ICW to Wrightsville. It was an uneventful short trip to get us in better position to get up to Belhaven by the end of the weekend.

Our first-choice anchorage at the beach was full, so we went a little farther out to another spot that had more room. It was a little bit of a bumpy night, too bumpy to take the dinghy out to enjoy the beach, but comfy enough that we felt safe.

We were also just a short hop, like less than a mile, from one of Owen’s former coworkers! If the weather had been better, we certainly would have had a fun dinner together.
