A Peek Under the Water Line

Since Our Dash is swimming in salt water for the first time, we needed to replace the anodes. We decided to have it pulled out so that we could also get a peek at the bottom. After over 1,800 miles down the Inland Rivers, through a couple of shallow areas, and perhaps over a log or two, it was time to make sure both props were both still firmly attached.

Thankfully, all is well! There was a little wear and tear, but the bottom paint still looked good and all of the mechanics were in good order. After a power wash and some new anodes, she’s back in the water and ready to continue the Loop!

    • Yes! I bought a little wooden tree two years ago at a craft fair for this purpose. I’ll post a picture in an upcoming post. I miss our usual big tree, but this will do for this year.
